Maykel Piron awarded with ‘Feather’ award at Eurosonic Noorderslag!

Great news for the Managing Director of Armada Music, Maykel Piron! After winning the ‘Best Record Label Executive’ title at the International Dance Music Awards, he now got awarded with a ‘Feather’. The ‘Feather’ is a prize for persons within the Dutch music industry that have made an extraordinary contribution for the Dutch music product. Maykel Piron is the youngest person to have ever received this prestigious award.

The award, presented by Buma/Stemra, was handed to Maykel Piron at the European Music Conference and Showcase Festival in the Dutch city of Groningen. The judges praise Piron for his ‘effort, passion and dedication, which have led to the maturing of a music scene, that has given The Netherlands a completely unique and dominant position in the global music market. With that, he has made a big contribution to the international exploitation of the national repertoire. He has shown to be a real pioneer in the world of dance music and hasn’t only done a favor to himself, his artists, his colleagues and partners, but also to the entire Dutch music industry.’
